NORTHof explores the quiet relationship between environment, light, and the spaces we inhabit. Working at the intersection of architecture, interiors, and property stewardship, we approach each project as a complete environment—whether anchored in a rural landscape or nested within the urban fabric. Our practice is dedicated to creating residences that are both refined and deeply lived-in, ensuring that a home’s beauty is matched by its sense of ease.

Our Ethos

Our name reflects a dual approach to the architectural process. It is a search for the essential version of a project—the point where environmental logic meets the personal narrative of the inhabitant. It is also a commitment to extended service; we believe architecture should transcend the standard brief to become a tool for restorative living and a catalyst for mental clarity.

We view our role as a dedicated partnership that spans the life of a project. At North Of, we choose to remain a boutique studio to ensure that the intimacy of the initial dialogue is protected. North directs the design and strategy of every commission personally, ensuring our clients have a consistent, expert point of contact from start to finish. Our studio approach allows us to combine this high-level personal service with the technical rigor and professional oversight necessary to lead complex residences to completion.

A home is a living entity that matures over time. Our role is to act as a long-term advocate for the spaces we create, selecting materials and crafting geometries that age with grace, focusing on the long-term character of the environment. As a practice, our commitment is to create residences that serve not just the needs of today, but the legacy of the family for generations to come.
